What BMI Calculator Actually Measures (and What It Doesn't)
BMI is a simple ratio of weight to height nothing more. It doesn't know whether that weight is muscle or anything on your body, you doesn't adjust for age or frame size, and it's not your fitness or health diagnosis by itself. It's a screening tool used because it's quick and consistent across large groups, not because it tells the full story for any one of them. Athletes with a lot of muscle, for instance, often land in "overweight" territory on BMI despite being lean and fit.
